Like stone Paint Spray construction method

Wall disposal before coating - clean and flatten smooth the wall
Masking and protection: cover the unapplied parts with Cloth-Masker and masking tape to avoid paint contamination
Primer applied, infiltrated, attached to the base
Elastic colored coating applied to cover the base color, set off the main material texture, and cover the fine cracks

Sealer topcoat: Lastly covered with transparent protective topcoat, resistant to dirt and easy to clean, extend the life of like stone paint

Step:1 Clean flatten the surface

The first step of the like stone paint construction process - clean and flatten smooth the wall: using the angle grinder to cut off the surface protrusions, nails and other debris, and sanding the wall protrusions

Clean the wall surface, dirt, debris, and clean the wall surface, do not leave mud, dirt, grease, to avoid affecting the adhesion of the primer

Sept:2 Flatten the surface

The second step of the like stone paint construction process: there are still various pits on the cut and flattened wall, filled with smooth coat or cement mortar, and the smooth surface is smoothed.

Use the paste filler to level the wall so that the wall is not recessed and uneven
If the wall has cracks, broken corners, it needs to be filled with cement and remove the sludge.

Step:3 Apply protection material to all the areas not intended to be coated.

The third step of the like stone paint construction process - cover and protect: use masking tape and cloth-mask to cover the place where the stone paint is not applied, to avoid spray paint pollution.

Please cover the area that is not sprayed with protective material.

Step:4 Coat a primer coat

The fourth step of the like stone paint construction process - Primer: the primer can be evenly covered on the cement wall by paint brush, paint roller brush and spray gun to isolate strong alkali and dust, and penetrate into the base to strengthen the adhesion.

Primer is the most important material to connect with the base surface. Choose the appropriate primer for different interfaces.

Primer:1 layer
Preparation: no water added
#1.5 nozzle
Drying Time: 2~3hr (Depending on climate, temperature and humidity will vary)

Step:5 Coat a elastic coat

The fifth step of the stone-like paint construction process - elastic coating: the paint brush, paint roller brush and spray gun wall can be used to evenly cover the elastic paint to the cement wall which has been applied with primer, covering fine cracks, water barrier and increasing ductility.

The function of the elastic coating is to increase the ductility and the saturation of the main material color.
You can choose to roll or spray the primer on the wall

Elastic:1 layer
Preparation: 5% of water
#1.5 nozzle
Drying Time: 2~3hr (Depending on climate, temperature and humidity will vary)

Step:6 Coat main material 1~2 layers

The sixth step of the like stone paint construction process - spraying the stone-like paint main material: it is necessary to use the spray gun, spray the granite-like texture main material, and use the cross-interlacing method between the two sprays.

Please spray the main material with air gun

Main Material: 2 layers.
Please put the cap on the first layer. and take off cap on second layer.
Preparation: no water added
#2.5 nozzle
Drying Time: 3~4hr (Depending on climate, temperature and humidity will vary)

Step:7 Coat a sealer

The seventh step of the like stone paint construction process - Sealer top coat: use paint brush, paint rollers brush, spray guns; protect the stone-like coating system, increase the overall coating life, and increase the dirt-resistant and easy-cleaning effect for the stone-like paint.

The main function of the topcoat is to protect the stone system.
Topcoat with self-cleaning, weather-assistant , water-assistant etc. feathers
You can choose to roll or spray the primer on the wall

Sealer:2 layer
Preparation: 50% of water
#1.5 nozzle
Drying Time: 2~3hr (Depending on climate, temperature and humidity will vary)

Finish: Granite Texture Coating

The like stonepaint construction process was finally completed, the protection and masking tape were removed, and the beautiful granite appearance was completed, and the cement wall surface became the appearance of granite material.

Drying Time:Single coat at standard thickness (28℃、50%RH)

Touch Dry: 2 hours
Hard Dry: 2 days

Construction Notes

Before spraying, it is necessary to clean the wall surface and remove the protrusions and fill the slits to ensure that the wall surface is clean .
During construction, the moisture content of the surface material should be below 10%, the pH value is below 10, and the temperature is above 5 °C.
Different primers are required depending on the surface material.
Please cover the area that is not sprayed with protective material.
Each layer must be sprayed after the previous layer has been sufficiently dried.
Do not apply in humid air or on rainy days.
Do not mix with any solvents or paint or water to avoid deterioration.
Do not stir with a high speed mixer.
The transportation and storage of materials should be safe, avoiding sunshine, high temperatures and contamination.
